About
I'm a software developer in Seattle, and enjoy photography as one of my favorite hobbies. I started taking photos in college in Pittsburgh, including a short time on the school newspaper photo staff. Since moving to Seattle I've become more interested in it, and am fortunate that the northwest is a great place for photos.
- Canon 20D - with the 17-85 USM IS lens, a 70-200 F4 L, a Gitzo G1197 basalt tripod with Manfrotto 488RC2 head, and some filters (polarizer, ND grad, IR).
- Minolta DiMage G600 - compact point-and-shoot used whenever I can't take my DSLR somewhere. It's 6 megapixel, and has a decent degree of manual control (decent for a point-and-shoot).
- Olympus D-490 (retired) - Used for all photos prior to May 2005. It's 2.1 megapixel, and despite being old technology, the picture quality was pretty much equivalent to my newer Minolta D600.
